What matters most is your commitment and interest in learning to code. In return, we will provide full support, mentorship, and the experience to help you get where you want to be.
In Greater Manchester’s tech industry, over 80% of people have been to university and have a degree. Only 16% of women are in technical roles, and just 20% of roles are taken by people who aren’t white. But we truly believe that you don’t need to study for three years to get a job in tech – and that gender and skin colour are not barriers.
Our diverse team is led by Madlab, and driven by some of the city’s leading technology educators. Between us, we’ve helped get hundreds of people with no prior experience into a exciting careers in tech.
ClickMCR provides all the necessary essentials needed to secure a well-paid job in a fast-growing industry.
ClickMCR is free to join, but you must be aged between 18 and 30, resident in Greater Manchester. You must also be currently unemployed and looking to get back into employment or training, or in education but timetabled for less than 16 hours per week. You must also be eligible to work in the UK: if you're from an EU member country you must have been resident in the UK before 1st Jan 2021, or hold Right to Remain status. EEA Nationals must provide a ‘right to work’ check using their share code here.

We don’t want access to be a barrier. If you’re interested in joining the programme but don’t have your own computer or internet connection, we may be able to help. Please let us know when signing up for the programme, and we’ll be in touch to discuss your needs.
We look for potential, not qualifications or grades. We want to bring different voices into the tech industry. You may have dropped out of college or been less successful in your exams than others. Maybe you had other priorities, like caring for a relative, so education took a back seat. We understand. That’s why we’ve developed our courses so that you can go at your own pace, with mentors and tutors on hand when you need them.
Our programme is aimed at young people in Greater Manchester, aged 18 to 30. If you're outside of this, we can advise on other Greater Manchester programmes that you may be eligible for.
We understand that taking part in a programme like this is a big time commitment. That’s why we've created this courses using an at-your-own-pace structure, with support where and when you need it.
We realise that, due to Covid-19, we are living in particularly stressful times. Mental health and wellbeing support is on-hand throughout the programme, and is built in to our programmes. There will always be someone to talk to, and additional support if needed.
ClickMCR is a new training programme from digital industry experts MadLab, for young people in Greater Manchester.
